    QR Code Generator Without Ads

QR Cake is a QR code generator without ads on every paid plan: scans of your saved codes go straight to your page, with no advert or countdown in between. Plans start at $2.99/month and cover every code in your account, including ones already printed. On the free plan, each scan shows a short QR Cake page first.

    Loading the QR code maker

    How it works

    1

    Enter your website link

Paste the URL the code should open into the generator on this page. Before you finish, you can add colors, a gradient, a logo in the middle and a frame with call-to-action text.

    2

    Save it or download it

Save the code to a QR Cake account so you can change its destination later. Or download it without saving to get a static code that opens your URL directly but can never be changed.

    3

Start a paid plan to remove the ad page

Saved codes on the free plan show a short QR Cake page before your destination. Start any paid plan, from Single at $2.99/month, and every saved code in your account opens your page directly, including codes already printed.

    Common use cases

    01

Codes you print for a client, which should open the client's website, not a QR Cake ad page first.

    02

Ordering at a table or checking in at a door, where a countdown on every scan slows people down.

    03

Codes already in circulation: start a paid plan and the ad page disappears from every printed copy, with no reprint.

    04

Pages people need in a hurry, such as parking payment, a building map or emergency information.

    05

Premium print, such as wedding stationery, luxury packaging or a gallery label, where an advert would clash with the design.

    06

Business cards and name badges, where the first screen a new contact sees should be your own.

    07

Materials for patients, children or public-sector visitors, where showing an advert before the information is hard to justify.

    08

One URL that will never change, such as your homepage on a permanent shop sign: download a static Website code with no account and nothing in between.

    Industries that use it

    AGENCIES & FREELANCERS

Client codes open the client's site directly. Keep them in an account on a paid plan so none of them shows a QR Cake advert.

    RESTAURANTS & CAFES

Table, window and takeout-bag codes open the menu or ordering page at once, without a countdown.

    HEALTHCARE

Clinic signs, appointment cards and aftercare leaflets link straight to the information patients came for.

    EVENTS & VENUES

Check-in, schedule and ticket codes skip the wait, which matters when a line of people scans one after another.

    RETAIL & PACKAGING

On-pack codes for manuals and registration open your page directly, even on stock printed before you upgraded.

    EDUCATION

Handouts and classroom posters send students and parents straight to forms, reading lists and course pages.

    What it is

An ad-free QR code in QR Cake is a saved dynamic code on a paid plan, so its short link forwards every scan straight to your page. The printed pattern holds only that short QR Cake link, and the destination lives in your dashboard, where you can change it at any time. On the free plan, the same link first opens a page labeled Advertisement that counts down five seconds before the visitor can tap Continue.

There is a second route with nothing between the scan and your site: download a Website QR code without saving it. That download is static, meaning your URL is encoded directly into the pattern, so it needs no account and never passes through QR Cake. The catch is permanent. A static code can never be edited, so a typo, a moved page or a new campaign means printing a new code. Only the Website type works this way; PDF, image, video and the other hosted types must be saved to an account.

Removing the ad page is tied to your account, not built into each code. As soon as any paid plan starts (the 7-day trial counts), QR Cake stops showing the page on every saved code in the account, even codes already printed on menus, packaging and signs. Nothing needs to be downloaded or printed again. If the subscription later ends, the codes keep working and the short page comes back.

    Best practices

    • After upgrading, scan one of your printed codes to confirm it now opens your page directly, with no countdown.
    • Match the call-to-action beside the QR code with the first page visitors see after the redirect.
    • Use a separate code for each placement, such as the table cards and the window sign, so you can point one somewhere new without changing the other.
    • If you manage codes for clients, keep them in an account on a paid plan, because removing the ad page follows the account, not the individual code.
    • Point codes at pages you control, so any popups or cookie banners a visitor meets are ones you chose.
    • After you save a code on the free plan, QR Cake offers a preview of the exact page your scanners will see. Look at it and decide whether that placement needs a paid plan.

Limitations to know before you print

    • On the free plan, every scan of a saved code opens a short QR Cake ad page with a five-second countdown before the visitor can continue. Any paid plan, from Single at $2.99/month, removes it.
    • Removing the ad page only removes QR Cake's step. If your own page loads slowly or is hard to use on a phone, the scan will still feel slow.
    • Third-party destinations keep their own popups, cookie banners and ads. A paid plan only removes the QR Cake page in front of them.
    • Paid plans remove the ad page, not every trace of QR Cake. Hosted pages such as link lists, vCards and event pages keep a small "Made with QR Cake" link at the bottom, and a dynamic code's camera preview shows the short QR Cake link, not your domain.

    What it is

A QR code without ads sends the person scanning straight to your page, with no advert or waiting screen in between. Some generators put an ad page after every scan to pay for the service, and QR Cake's free plan does the same: a short page with a five-second countdown. Any QR Cake paid plan removes it from all your codes at once.

    Start with the generator

The QR type is already selected. Add your content, style the code, then save it to a free account to get a dynamic QR code you can update anytime.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I make a QR code without ads?+

Create it in QR Cake and save it to an account on any paid plan, from Single at $2.99/month: every scan then goes straight to your page with no ad page in between. For a website link that will never change, you can also download a static Website QR code without an account. It opens your site directly but can never be edited.

Why would I choose an ad-free QR code?+

Because the first screen people see after scanning is yours, not an advert. That matters on a client's flyer, a restaurant table, a clinic sign or product packaging, and in an event check-in line, where a five-second wait on every scan adds up fast.

Do ad-free QR codes still let me edit the destination?+

Yes. A saved code on a paid plan is still a dynamic QR Cake code, so you can change its destination from the dashboard at any time without reprinting. Scan analytics are a separate feature, included on the Pro and Business plans only. The exception is a static Website code downloaded without saving, which can never be edited.

Does the free plan show an ad when someone scans?+

Yes, briefly. On QR Cake's free plan, each scan of a saved code opens a short QR Cake page with a five-second countdown, and the visitor then taps Continue to reach your page. The free plan still gives you up to 5 dynamic codes with unlimited scans, no expiry date and no credit card.

How much does it cost to remove ads from QR codes?+

From $2.99 a month (USD). Every QR Cake paid plan removes the ad page: Single at $2.99, Basic at $5.99, Pro at $15.99 and Business at $24.99 per month, and yearly billing costs 10 times the monthly price. Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial (card required), and Pro and Business also include scan analytics.

Can I remove ads from QR codes I already printed?+

Yes. In QR Cake the ad page is tied to your account, not to the printed pattern, so once any paid plan starts, every saved code in your account skips it, including codes already on menus, packaging and signs. There is nothing to reprint or download again.

Can I make a QR code without ads and without signing up?+

Yes, for a website link. Enter the URL in the Website QR generator on this page and download the code without saving it. You get a static QR code that opens your site directly, with no QR Cake page in between, but it can never be edited. PDF, image, video and the other hosted types have to be saved to an account to work.

What happens to my QR codes if I cancel my paid plan?+

They keep working. QR Cake codes never expire and have no scan limit, but once the subscription ends, the short QR Cake page returns before each destination. Starting a paid plan again removes it, with nothing to reprint.
