What is a dynamic QR code?

A dynamic QR code is a QR code whose destination is stored on a server rather than printed into the pattern itself. The printed code never changes, but you can edit where it points at any time. What is the difference between static and dynamic (changeable) QR codes?

Once a static QR code is created, the data/url the QR code is pointing to can no longer be changed. Our dynamic (changeable) QR codes are forwarded through the QR Cake service, which lets you update destinations anytime and enables scan analytics.
